My Delayed New Years Message

When I started my career in real estate in 2019, my goal was to grow into a well-rounded top real estate professional. For me, getting licensed as a salesperson was a natural career progression. Early in 2021, I resigned from my position at a property management company to set out on my own and bet on myself. That decision could have been made because of my interest in entrepreneurship, but likely was made due to my disdain for authority (I’m half joking there).

With the help of my two partners and mentors, Susan Smith and Nicole Garofoli, whom I would have been much more lost without, I was able to enjoy good sales success for my first year in agency. It was not all success last year; far from it. However, thanks to my perseverance and, most importantly, the trust my clients placed in me, we were able to close 11 deals for a total of $2,417,000 and an additional sale pending into 2022, to be announced later. What I am most proud of is the broad scope of trust my clients placed in me. The eleven closed deals included purchasing/selling primary homes, investment sales in multifamily/single family rentals, leases, and land acquisition for future development. I refuse to put myself in a box, I am always learning and growing my real estate repertoire.

Thank you for all the support as I got my business off the ground. I want to share why my New Year’s message is delayed. Some of you may know that today marks the 3rd anniversary of my mother’s death, after a long bout with Ovarian Cancer. She showed massive fight, resolve, and grace. I strive to embody those same characteristics. Which is why I am proud to announce that when you decide to put your trust in me for your real estate needs, you are not just doing business with me, Smith Garofoli Group, and Howard Hanna, you’re doing business with my company, Jill Ann, LLC.

We’re just getting started. I am so excited to continue building into this new year, and like my mom always told my sister and me “we build each other up”.

I wish you a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year!
