Enough About Me, Let’s Talk About You!
Yes, you - you’re the one reading my annual letter, aren’t you? I appreciate you; the support gives me a lot of strength, even if it’s only for this moment. Thank you for the likes and the encouraging comments, both in person and on social media. Thanks for your engaging real estate questions, whether from one of my Q&A sessions or if we’re out in casual conversation. Thank you, most of all, to my beloved and valued clients. Without the opportunities you bestow upon me, I’m unable to make a positive impact upon Greater Cleveland, a place I cherish and refuse to stop acting as one of her many ambassadors. Every transaction is a hypothetical brick that lays the foundation for my career, where I build you, my community, and myself up along the way. Whether this allegorical work is to be grand remains yet to be seen, but I do take pride in that this year I get to renew my license for the first time, a mark that many newcomers to the business don’t make it to. Without your trust, encouragement, and keeping me top of mind when it’s time for you or your loved ones to buy or sell, this renewal would not have been possible. I’d probably be back hating my life in a cubicle. Michael, are you sure this is about me? Yes, I swear! Keep reading.
Last year I asked you for help, which is something I deeply struggle with for some reason. I’ll let the multiple psychologists, who are surely reading this, work that out while the rest of us stay on task. First, I asked for your trust in hiring me to represent you on your real estate transactions. We bought and sold together, and we won! Equally important, I also asked you to spread the good word of my services to your friends and family, and you did. I’m ready to do it all over again this year, ready when you are. As my annual letter becomes more of a tradition, I am using it this year to set a theme for the months ahead, and the theme this year is YOU. What does that mean? Keep reading a little more, and I promise to share a eureka moment.
Before I share my findings with you, as a precursor, let’s talk license law. Apart from having my real estate license, I'm committed to keeping a legal and moral code towards confidentiality – what is said or happens while we’re working together outside of public information is between you and me forever. But as I reflected on this year, what I came away with is you want to be celebrated! When appropriate, with your full permission and participation, I aim to give you a platform to share your story. I’m not yet ready to announce what exactly this is or what it looks like, but I think you’ll find it entertaining, and I hope you’ll want to be a part of it. Be on the lookout as it’s coming soon!
Before we wrap this up, let’s talk about my social media and what it means for you. The broader media landscape has widened; we can do so much with new technologies that agents before me never could have imagined when they were my age. Having name recognition will always be pivotal in being a top-performing real estate agent in any market. That’s why I showcase every transaction. Maybe that’s shameless, but I was blessed to be born into a time with the greatest tool for relentless self-promotion to ever exist, and it would be an act of sin not to use it for both mine and your benefit. When you hire me to sell or find your next home, it’s my mission to make it happen. Having an engaged Cleveland-focused audience is a pillar of a good social media marketing strategy and connecting buyers and sellers in this new dawn of brokerage.
Okay, if you have made it this far, it’s only fair that I update you on my 2023 results. Last year was more of the same, but in a good way: more listings, more buyers, more lease deals, and it was my personal best year yet with total volume coming in at $2,765,000. Additionally, heading into 2024 with great listings on the market, sales pending, and great people who believe in me and the work I do – I can’t help but wipe off some of the optimism that’s oozing from my pores.
Wishing you a healthy, happy, & prosperous 2024!
